Fact:- Focus group and interview participants provide responses that aren't always truthful. Sometimes they provide what they think to be the "rational" answer as opposed to a more natural "real world" response.

Fact:- Focus group participants said that they wouldn't use ATMs (cash machines) because they were too impersonal. Personal hi-fis were dismissed because they were impractical and pointless.
